At the end of 1984, my sculpture process had become a drawing activity, using an electric saw as a pencil, randomly drawing (cutting) shapes from  sheets of plywood, which eliminated a need for traditional drawing. Quickly, I began to notice that the Emery cloth used in sanding was documenting the process as it captured the multiple scratches made by dowels and varying glue drops that occurred during the development of each piece. In 1987, the process was modified removing the need of Emery cloths and concluding this brief documentary experience.
