Over the last four decades, my studio practice has centered on drawing activity, both past and present, its critical relationship to emerging patterns, and its association with other marking systems such as notation, short hand, and calligraphy. Guided by an intuitively directed process incorporating analog and digital techniques, my curiosity has taken me into the recurrent spaces separating gesture and language, while exploring the perpetual dialogues that exist between mark and pattern, sight and perception.
