Over the last four decades, my studio practice has centered on investigating the diverse facets of drawing from its material composition, its physical articulation or process and its critical relationship with emerging patterns to its association with other marking systems such as musical notation, short hand and calligraphy. Through a layered process of interwoven analog and digital techniques, my resulting discoveries have allowed and encouraged my exploration into the recurrent spaces separating gesture and language, while focusing on the perpetual dialogue that exists between mark and pattern.
